The Midtown Brandywine Neighbors’ Association is thrilled to announce that Wilmington, Delaware, has been named “one of the 23 best places to go in the US in 2023” by the renowned publication Condè Nast Traveller. We are particularly proud of this recognition because it highlights our neighborhood’s beloved city as a destination for foodies and culture lovers alike.

The article praises the city’s booming dining scene, which includes new restaurants such as The Quoin Hotel, Hotel Du Pont’s Le Cavalier, Bardea Steak, and the upcoming food hall The Chancery Market, which will feature stalls curated by chef Akhtar Nawab. The author notes that these restaurants are transforming Wilmington into a “bona fide food destination.”

Beyond the city’s culinary offerings, the article also highlights the stunning Du Pont family estates in Chateau Country, which features sites such as Nemours and Winterthur. The newly unveiled Hagley Museum exhibit, “A Nation of Inventors,” is also mentioned, showcasing the visionary creations dating back to the 1700s.

As proud residents of Wilmington’s Midtown Brandywine neighborhood, we are excited to see our city receive this well-deserved recognition. We hope that visitors to Wilmington will take the time to explore our charming and historic neighborhood, which boasts beautiful Victorian homes and a strong sense of community. Congratulations to we Wilmingtonians and all of the wonderful establishments mentioned in the article (many of which are within minutes walking distance from Delaware’s loveliest neighborhood, Midtown Brandywine!
